Islas legacy

Thank you for visiting this page. For those of you that don’t know our beautiful little Isla’s story I have shared it again below.

We’re trying to raise money for four purposes:

1. To fund a commemorative bench in a Provincial Park here in BC. This will allow us, friends/family and anyone else to go and spend quiet time somewhere beautiful with Isla.
2. To make a donation in Islas name to the NICU at Royal Columbian Hospital, whose nurses and doctors are truly remarkable human beings.
3. To make a donation in Islas name to Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, the staff are angels and the work they do is so important.
4. To make a donation in Islas name for anything that the team at Inlet Midwifery may need to be the source of support and light that they are to other families.

If anyone simply wants to donate to NICU or Canuck Place in Islas name directly, I’m sure that’s possible too.


Islas story: on August 18 @3.37am Isla Parisa Moezzi made her way into this world but unfortunately it wasn’t easy for her.

At 8lbs 12oz our gorgeous chunky monkey was born via emergency c section, pulseless and not breathing. After 17 minutes the amazing NICU staff brought her back and we had 10 glorious days of experiencing a love like no other. But unfortunately her beautiful little body couldn’t make it and we said goodbye to her on August 27th in the beautiful garden at Canuck Place.

Words fail us and trying to find logic in all of this is impossible. What we do know is that we must find purpose for the terribly unfair card that the universe dealt us and creating a legacy for beautiful Isla is part of that.
