Isla’s story...born at 31 weeks and 3 days, weighing just over 3 lbs, Isla entered this world on Nov 2nd at 2:09 pm. Via emergency, & very complicated, c-section, this little nugget graced us with her strong lungs and healthy cry. It’s been a whirlwind of NICU life since then...the care plans, the schedule, the wonderful doctors and nurses, feedings, diaper changes, and of course, very little sleeping.
Her prognosis is good, but the length of time she and mama will have to spend in the NICU is a long one. Weeks and weeks of medical expenses alone are quite the burden, but add to that the weeks off work Jen’s required to take in order to heal and recover, it’s a mountain of money. Take into account the travel expenses - from Longview to Vancouver daily - to spend the necessary and needed time with tiny Isla...it’s overwhelming. So we’re asking for your continued help! Please keep sharing! Please donate if you can! No new mom should have to compromise the joy that is a new baby in order to deal with the financial stress that comes with it. Especially a new mom living and breathing the NICU life. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you!
