Islamic Studies Professorship UCF

The Al Ghazali Islamic Studies Program & Lectureship Series was established in 2011 at the University of Central Florida (UCF) and has since hosted a number of speakers and lectures on the topic of Islam.  UCF is the largest university in the United States with over 64,000 students enrolled.  In order to convert the lectureship series to an endowed professorship all that is needed from the community is to raise $143,000.  The university has agreed to provide a faculty line to supplement the endowment and establish the professorship.  The Professorship will be an endowed position in the College of Arts and Humanities and would pave the way for the potential of a Certificate Program, minor, and possibly a major in Islamic Studies.  As an endowed professorship the position would last in perpetuity without the need to raise funds in the future and donations towards this effort would be considered Sadaqah Jariya!
- Any checks collected need to be made out to UCF with Al Ghazali or Islamic Studies in the memo line.
- If the funds are raised by September 1, the position will be advertised in the Fall and the professor will be hired for the Fall of 2018
