ISHA's Foodbank Fundraiser

ISHA WILL MATCH ALL DONATIONS!
If you've been following the news, you'll probably be aware that this winter is going to be a very hard one for some of the most vulnerable groups in society. Footballer Marcus Rashford has been in the headlines many times over the past few months for his campaign urging the Government to provide free school meals for children in poverty.
Unfortunately, many families, including a high proportion of ISHA residents and frontline workers, rely heavily on free school meals to make ends meet and keep their children from going hungry.
Obviously, things are tough for a lot of us this year, but it's important to help where we can. Customer service team member Akello Thomas suggested a foodbank collection. With the recent report from the Trussell Trust publicising that there was a 61% increase in demand this year, and the likelihood of increased struggles over Christmas, ISHA have decided to launch a Food Poverty Fundraiser.
How we can help
Please donate whatever you can to this GoFundMe, and our final financial contribution will be matched by ISHA. All money raised will go towards food and provisions to supply three local foodbanks in ISHA boroughs: Hackney Foodbank, Islington Foodbank, and Waltham Forest Foodbank (‘Eat or Heat’). These foodbanks provide a three-day emergency food supply and support to those in crisis. Together, they have supported thousands of people in need, and have become pillars of the local communities.
In addition to the PayPal donations, we have put baskets in the office for those of you working here - please refer to the poster below from Hackney foodbank to see what specific items they are in need of this month.
