Is Ellington Blue Anymore?

Donation protected
Although you hope to never encounter true tragedy in your life, when it finds you, life will never be the same. For the Waite family this happened on Thursday, June 22nd 2017 when there little Ellington Tice who turned two in March found his way to the family pool, managed to slip past the security gate and jumped in to go swimming. The family desperately searched for him but by the time his older sister found him, he was at the bottom of the pool and had turned blue.

His parents immediately began CPR pumping pool water out of his lungs with each compression. The EMT's took over for them after seven minutes and persisted with CPR the entire 40 min drive to the hospital even though Ellington never responded. At the hospital the E.R. team worked hard for two hours to bring his pulse back, but in the end after a life-flight trip to a children's hospital his little body had suffered too much and his organs shut down one by one.

The Waite family is the best family I know. Always willing to sacrifice anything, do anything for those around them. They have always been a fiercely independent and self-sufficient family, however, they are now starting to realize how much the emergency services, ER resuscitation efforts and the Life Flight will cost. We want to help ease the financial burden of this tragedy so his parents can focus on healing their broken hearts and supporting his sister and four brothers through this terrible tragedy.

At the hospital Ellington's older brother Elliot looked up at me and asked, “Is Ellington blue anymore?” Without hesitation I told him no, Ellington is not blue anymore. Do not hesitate to assist my friends and I in helping the Waite family not be blue anymore. Show them how much the world cares about a family with strong Christian values, who constantly and consistently serve, but above all, who loved their little Ellington Tice with all their souls.
