Isaiah's Help to Recovery

Isaiah went from a very happy, adventurous and active boy to one day getting severe headaches, abdominal pain,  joint pain, dizziness, OCD, tics, confusion , anxiety, irritability, weakness and began falling over at school.  We seen him on the floor saying he can't do this while I looked at my son having no idea what we were facing and how I could help him. We had to Carry him up the stairs because he physically could not walk. Car rides were excrutiating for him. Imagine feeling like your next to a Freight Train (loud noise) whlie riding on a Roller Coaster.  I had no idea he was experiencing this. He was soon after diagnosed with Bartonella (A lymes co-infection) and Lymes Disease.  It attacks the Red Blood Cells, Brain, Muscles/Tissues and sometimes the Heart. It can be a persistant bacteria. He went from loving life and friends to just trying to function and us making him as comfortable as possible. We found a Great Lymes Doctor who began treating him. Within the first couple of weeks some of the symptoms began to get better however we quickly learned this is something that takes persistance and time and reality sunk in for us. Just yesterday he could not walk through the store and we had to get a wheelchair for him. It's hard seeing your most active child experience this. I have had many ask how they can help and honestly I have been so much involved taking care of him I struggled with what others could do and I am such a do it all mom that I don't like causing any burdens on others. However, we realize that help and support is what get's people through struggles and challenges in life. Isaiah will have several weeks of treatments coming up. We have already started them this week. All of this is out of pocket costs (insurance does not cover) except for Testings. We have to drive a total of 3 hours every week as well. (which just being in the car with Isaiah is a big challange). As most of you know I don't work and i have to be home to care for him and the other kids. Mike is self-employed. His work typically slows down in the winter and his income varies and is never guarenteed. Isaiah is also on a special diet which has taxed us more financially. We understand that not everyone can contribute or help and we would not want to tax you or your family. However, if you can use this as a reminder to Pray for Isaiah that is the biggest encouragement. You should see his smiles when I tell him people are praying for him. Cards are greatly appreciated too. He loves getting those in the mail. Please message me with our address if you would like to send a card. 100% will go towards Isaiah's medical expenses. Gas and Food Cards are also welcome.  As this was not expected and I understand everyone has their challenges I just wanted to offer  a way for people to help that have asked. We are so Thankful for all of you and we Pray Blessings upon you.
