Isabell is 15 years old and underwent her 14th surgery in the last 3 years for chronic pilonidal disease. She has been an inpatient at the Cleveland Clinic since January 15th. She has had her fourth wound vac placed now. We have been told she will be here another month before it's estimated she can go home and tolerate wound vac changes at home. Currently she goes to the OR and has x2 wound vac dressing changes done every week with sedation.  Unfortunately, one of her previous changes were done incorrectly which resulted in a secondary burn wound from her backside to her hip. She has immense pain from her wound and now with a secondary wound. She has been working with physical therapy to try to build up her strength but this is a very long journey. Today her colorectal surgeon said he estimates she will need her wound vac for several months. Plastic surgeons have also been consulted as there is a possibility she would need a flap for closure and reconstruction. We are trying to hold off on that decision for as long as we can as it will cause her to be disfigured the rest of her life.  Isabell is tough. She is one of the toughest people of any age I know. Her spirit has been broken for a long time now. She feels as if there's no hope as she has required so many surgeries thus far.  There is no income coming in until Isabell can return home and I can return to work. I cannot ask of anyone to give, but we have been asked numerous times to let people help.  Our village is probably the best village anyone could ever ask for. The amount of texts and messages are so uplifting. Everyone is aware at how hard 2020 was for my family and it only followed us into 2021. We are asking for prayers for quick healing. We are asking for prayers for less pain. We are asking for prayers for complete resolution of this horroble disease that has taken such a hard toll on Isabell.
