Isaac’s surgery to help him walk

My name is Michelle and I opening this page to help my cousin Isaac come from Ecuador to Missouri to have a Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy surgery. Isaac is an Ecuadorian boy, who was born on August 24, 2011 at 22 weeks of gestation. He was extremely premature and tiny that he could fit in both palms of your hands. The doctors had no hope that he would survive, but the hand of God has been present in Isaac’s life. He beat all odds and today he is 9 years old. He has had many complications in his health, the strongest being is his spasticity in his left arm and legs, which prevents him from walking. We have looked into doctors that can help Isaac here in Ecuador, but there are no doctors who can perform the special surgery he needs to improve his lifestyle and help him walk.  Doing some research online, we found St. Louis Hospital in Missouri. Dr. Park is a specialist in the operation called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy. This surgery is what he needs to be able to walk one day on his own. We contacted Dr. Park and we sent him all the documents for him analysis and evaluate Isaac’s situation. He reviewed all our documents and responded confirming that Isaac is suitable to undergo this surgery, but unfortunately this surgery cost $80,000. We financially don’t have the income or resources to pay for this surgery. We are asking anyone that is able to help, to please donate to our cause of bringing Isaac to Missouri to have this life changing surgery. We know times are tough and anything that comes from your heart will bring Isaac closer to having his dream come true. This surgery will give him the hope he needs to be able to walk and play with his friends. Thank you all!
