Irwin Family Medical and Household

Many of you know that Tom has Oligodendroglioma, grade III. This is his second fight with it and unfortunately it is inoperable.  The cancer is terminal and as Tom’s health declines, the medical expenses continue to increase.  

Since finding out it was coming back in January 2018, a lot has changed for this family.  Because of the increasing seizures, Tom had to stop working last year.  As a man who worked hard his whole life to provide for his family, this was a big unwelcomed change.  Most recently, Tom's mobility has decreased as the tumor is located on the fright frontal lobe and growing - it is causing paralysis on his left side.  He has lost all use of his left hand and arm now, and his left leg and foot are progressing towards paralysis as well. 

Tom is reliant on a wheelchair to get around the house or outside.  His family helps him with his every day tasks, but the need for nurse care is becoming more and more prevalent. 

Now as they continue to navigate their way through increasing medical changes with Tom, the Irwin family could use help.  They aren’t looking for a handout, but they do need help.

Setting up this GoFundMe was not their idea, but a few friends got together and tried to figure out the best way to help the family now.

Please donate what you can and know that every dime will be spent cautiously and with Tom's best interest in mind.  If you are unable to donate money, the family could also use support with work around the house, and/or could always use the prayers and thoughts.
Tom loves to be able to be on the go all the time and this has been very difficult for him.   With that being said, he would love to see family and friends often, even just to chat with so if you have a chance to stop by his house and visit with him, he would greatly appreciate it and it would lift his spirits.
