Emergency Supplies for Irvine Elementary
On Tuesday, Sept. 27, it was discovered that the emergency storage bin at our school was broken into and robbed.
Items stolen include equipment that the Irvine PAC had collected to support our children and Irvine staff in the event of an emergency. Now that the bin has been secured, we need to start restocking our emergency supplies for our children. This includes water, food and emergency items such as flashlights, pop-up tents, radios and personal hygiene items.
In order for the Emergency Preparedness Committee to replace these necessary items we are asking each family to donate $5 per enrolled student.
As you know these supplies are extremely important for the school to have on-hand in the event of a major disaster such as an earthquake. Our children may be stuck at school for hours or even overnight and we need to be prepared.
