Irma's aftermath - Help Cynthia

Hurricane Irma (the largest Hurricane in the Atlantic in history) has come and gone and she was a good old fashion B-I-T-C-H! First and foremost the most important news....Cynthia is safe and physically unharmed.   However Irma took Cyn's home. While the roof stayed, her windows were blown out and she lost most of her belongings...more than 26 years of belongings.

This storm has taken so much from so many and I know that the island will rebuild but they are all facing very difficult times and decisions ahead. But as I said to her the other day..."if cancer can't kill you...Irma sure as hell won't!"

Plenty of people have asked how they can help so I thought this would be the best way. Right now Cyn has food and water, but in the months to come she will need help to rebuild the house she once called a home. And let's be real...she needs a new TV asap to watch Law and Order and the Food Network!!!!!

Cynthia is one of the strongest, most independent woman I know. I’m sure she would like to do this alone but every once and awhile we all need a little helping hand therefore she does not know this is happening.

*For those of you who don’t me,  my name is Kristen Blakely and I am lucky enough to be one of Cyn’s many ‘kids’ and more importantly she is like a grandma (she loves that word) to my daughter. I’m hoping Cyn comes to stay with me for awhile in the next few weeks but whatever she decides, I will make sure she gets ever cent of this money.
