The Bran Jimenez family is asking for the help of all friends and family.
In the early hours of October 26, 2014 Irma, Jorge and Gionni were driving home on southbound 880 when their vehicle was struck by a drunk driver. Irma passed away at the scene, Jorge suffered major injuries including a punctured lung, 4 different fractures in each leg and Gionni thankfully only suffered a fracture on his leg. http://www.sfgate.com/crime/article/1-woman-killed-man-and-boy-injured-in-I-880-crash-5851621.php
Gionni is recovering well from his injuries but he will not recover from losing his mother with whom he was so attached to. Jorge has undergone 6 different surgeries and will require several months of physical therapy.
Irma was laid to rest on November 3, 2014 surrounded by her family and friends.
Jorge cannot provide for their son and will not be able to do so for quite some time due to his physical injuries and not to mention having to cope with the loss of his wife. Irma's parents have taken the responsibility to care for Gionni but as many of us with children know it can be burdensome financially to raise a child. But Irma's parents have also had to bear the burden of funeral expenses and Gionni's medical costs. Anything is very much appreciated.
