Irma Relief-Amanda, Gui, baby Leela

Our dear friend Amanda Ferrier along with her partner Guillaume and sweet 1-month-old daughter Leela were hit hard by Hurricane Irma (and subsequent hurricane Jose) late last week on their home island of St. Maarten.

Thanks to what feels like a miracle, they were able to evacuate and are currently in Puerto Rico figuring out what their next step is.  Wherever they land, they will be starting their lives over - with a new baby - in another country with no possessions or assets, because Amanda and Guillaume's self-built company and St. Maarten's economy in general depend heavily on tourism. With the airport and ports falling victim to the storm, there's no telling just how slow this recovery will be.

We're asking everyone we know to consider donating to give Amanda and her family a fighting chance at rebuilding their lives after this tragic storm.  We are also accepting donations of the following items:

Baby girl clothes
Baby items like diapers, baby wipes, bottles, etc.
Gift cards (Target/baby stores, etc.)
Women's clothes (size S/M) and shoes (size 7)
Men's clothes (size L) and shoes (size 12)

In the wake of Irma hitting Florida, we understand that many of our friends and family are trying to put the pieces of their own lives back together and simply ask that everyone keep Amanda, Leela and Guillaume in their thoughts even if donating is not possible.

Amanda will have direct access to ALL monetary donations via GoFundMe as a beneficiary of this account.  Donations will be spent on basic living expenses (food, transportation, clothing, etc.) and baby needs.
