Irma Relief for Catherine and Ken

Donation protected
As many of you are aware, Sint Maarten was hit with a category 5 Hurricane Irma yesterday morning. My name is Daphne Firth and my husband and I own Villa Valhalla in Dawn Beach Estates.  Ken Browne and Catherine Frank who have taken care of our house as well as many other properties in Dawn Beach for many years spent the hurricane at Villa Valhalla.   When the roof blew off and the sliding glass doors blew out, they were forced to shelter in the concrete laundry room holding the door shut from 185 mile winds for several hours.   Our house was substantially damaged as was theirs and they have moved to a basement in Dawn Beach that is still somewhat in tact.  They have limited food, water and resources.   Several of the owners at Dawn Beach estates are marshalling resources to get them some basic supplies as soon as possible.  Catherine and Ken have postively affected the lives of all the people around them with their bright smiles and caring ways.  Many of you who have stayed at Villa Valhalla or Villa Suzanne have experienced their thoughtful support and wonderful cooking.  It is time for us to give back to help them.  Please consider making a donation of whatever amount.  The funds will be used to support their basic needs and to help rebuild their lives on St.  Maarten.  Their livelihood has been dependent on tourism - an industry that will no longer exist in Sint Marten certainly for the next 6-12 months.  Please help them cope with this disasater.  Thank you in advance for your consideration.
