Hi.
My name is Iris Quinones. I am a Registered Nurse and a proud Puerto Rican woman. I am involved in a campaign to raise money for the children in need throughout the island of Puerto Rico for the holiday season.
The devastation of hurricane Irma and Maria has left the beautiful island of Puerto Rico in a state of crisis. This weighs heavy on my heart and on my conscious. I will continue to be proactive in helping the people of PR. There have been a few hundred deaths reported and the numbers are climbing. . The majority of the island is still currently without electricity or clean water. Homes have been completely destroyed and the people have not had any refuge.
I am committed to helping those in need this holiday season. I will be going to Puerto Rico for 3 Kings Day (Jan 6th) to personally deliver gifts. I will be collecting toys and/or monetary donations. I have logistic support in Puerto Rico and a means of assuring these gift will go right into the hands of the children.
The focus of this mission will be on the innocent children that are living a daily struggle. The children have been through trauma, devastation, loss, death and still their futures have no certainty. More than ever... they truly deserve to feel the holiday spirit. Please donate to the mission to help reach this goal. We are so fortunate and blessed. Lets share our blessings and spread joy this holiday season. No child should be left with out a gift for Christmas!
