Irish Language Regrowth

Donation protected
Here is my story.  I started learning the Irish language when I became Irish.  I had an interest in languages and I received my Irish citizenship.  I discovered that other people were learning Irish in America and around the world.  I realized that with 40,000,000 people claiming Irish ancestry and many of them very excited about it, there was a potential that those people could learn about the decline of their ancestor's language and about the ongoing struggles to keep it alive and growing.  I worked in all my spare time outside of my career and family time to learn and grow the Irish language.  I was laid off before Covid hit the globe and I had already committed to working full-time to promote and teach the Irish language in America and abroad as I had already begun.  Despite reaching over 50,000 followers on social media and teaching 7 Irish classes (now 10) and tutoring many students, and offering scholarships and selling products with Irish language on them instead of English language, it is still only a drop in the bucket to get the Irish globally and within Ireland to join me in taking the wonderful steps of learning to speak their native language Irish (Gaeilge).

I am fundraising to support the growth of my website content and to support marketing campaigns to grow more followers and learners of Irish and to be able to provide Irish language immersion events and additional scholarships to people who want to spend some time learning Irish in Ireland.  My wife now helps me full-time with these efforts as well and together we hope you will join us.

In appreciation for your support, I will be able to offer several Irish language events free of charge and be able to continue being present at various Irish festivals to spread the word, teach and answer questions.  Your support will allow me to generate significant amounts of content for other who would like to learn but do not have the resources to pay for classes, tutoring, immersion events and other events associated with the Irish language.
