Irish International Draughts

Ireland was not present in international (10x10) draughts until 2012. Thanks to funding from the Dutch draughts federation I was able to change this by playing in the European Championships in 2012 in Emmen, The Netherlands, and in 2014 in Tallinn, Estonia. 

While there is no further funding available from them, I would still like to continue representing Ireland, however I work a low wage job and the international travel and accommodation that is required to participate in tournaments are difficult to afford in this sport where only the very best of the world can make a living from the sport, and through this channel I hope to get the funding to keep playing world cup tournaments and to be able to take part in future European and possibly world championships.

If the funding exceeds the target, I intend to use this to give mindsports in general and international draughts in particular more visibility in Ireland if possible work on an Irish Open tournament.
