Hey everyone so I created this group so everyone can follow my baby girl irelynn's story...... so from the start irelynn is a little sister to 2 brothers and a sister but she is also a big sister (by 1min) to her twin brother. Irelynn from the min she was born was a smart, sassy, bossy but very caring and loving little girl! About 3 weeks ago irelynn started complaining of leg pain so naturally we figured it was just growing pains. The pains would come and go but for the most part she would be her normal happy self. Then the fevers started which again would come and go... but then on oct 31st 2019 I woke up to irelynn not wanting to walk bc her pain in her leg, so i scoop her up brought her to the family doctor which ordered xrays and bloodwork. So that day I got everything done and headed home (at this point she was walking but very little) later that day I brought all the kids out for halloween with little miss irelynn in the wagon so she could still go out! But that night things turned for the worse.... she was in so much pain, so we decided that we would take her to the er. When we got there they took her in right away got the xrays and bloodwork that was done on halloween comes back and tells us that irelynn has a fractured femur! At this point I'm thinking its impossible bc she never fell never did anything that would cause enough force to fracture a femur! So then they tell us that we are going to be transferred to met hospital to get her leg fixed so fine. When we get there they admitted us said that they would fix her leg in the morning just wanted to do more test to make sure nothing further was going on bc we didn't know how she fractured her leg. So the next morning I'm sitting there and 3 doctors come into the room, they start talking in that voice, we all know that something is wrong voice, then he tells me her bloodwork came back abnormal that it might be leukemia.... my heart sank my legs got weak I thought I was gonna fall to the floor. After that they tell me she needs a platelet and blood transfusion and they are gonna be air lifting her to london. So after we arrived in london we were told it would be til today that we would know for sure the type and if it was even leukemia. After lots of picks and pokes and xrays irelynn was not happy at all not eating not laughing just laying watching TV. Finally today after all the test.... here comes 3 doctors again.. I knew what was coming that feeling in the pit of my stomach, they confirmed that she has acute lymphocytic leukemia and she is gonna need chemo and its gonna be a long process again my heart broke trying to keep it together as irelynn sits on the bed watching me. How could this be why her, why not me these were all the things I was thinking. So this is my irelynn warrior story I will keep everyone updated on this page so plz feel free to join! We will also be doing a fundraiser which I will post here when I get more details and also any monetary donations that like to be made can be etransferred to [email redacted] this will help with travel food and meds that aren't covered bc unfortunately I will not be working I will be staying by my warriors side to fight this battle together ❤
