A TERRIBLE TRAGEDY has hit a Brother Marine and fellow LEO friend and his family that I served with in Iraq this morning in the form of a devestating house fire around 5: 30 a.m. This fire claimed the lives of his two young sons. Bryan, his wife and daughter were able to get out of the home, but they could not get their two sons out in time.
The two boys, 11 year-old Bryan Jr. and 6-year-old Parker, were found inside the bedroom they shared.
Bryan and his 9 year-old daughter were airlifted from the scene and the mother was rushed to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Officials say the father is Montgomery County Sheriff Deputy Bryan Lukens.
Bryan remains hospitalized with injuries in the burn unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital. His wife Tracy and daughter Soffia have been released from Pottstown Hospital.
There is no word on what started the fire. It remains under investigation
Bryan is a solid guy, loves his family, served honorably in the Marine Corps and is an Iraq War Veteran. He continues that service in a different uniform as a brother in blue that toes the THIN BLUE LINE.
The Alumni Marines of Echo Co 2/25 that served with him and some of us that continue to serve on the Thin Blue Line with him are hoping you will find it in your hearts to donate to the Lukens family as they try and process this devestating loss. They lost EVERYTHING and most important, their two precious boys. I can not begin to comprehend the pain and grief they are feeling as Bryan made every attemt to save his family.
100% of this campaign will be turned over to Bryan and Tracy so they can begin to pick up the pieces and rebuild their shattered family. Please help this family. No donation is to small.
