Ira's Surgical Mission Trip

Our son, Ira, has a chance to make a difference. Here is his story. Can you help him reach his goal?
My name is Ira Plank and I'm trying to raise money to allow me to go on a medical mission trip to help those who are unable to help themselves.
Opportunities to help others and to meet one's life goals don't always come together the way we plan. I have the chance to be in that unique position. One of my goals after high school is to go to school become a Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). In line with this career choice I have volunteered to go to the Philippines on a medical mission where I will be assisting in providing medical aid to the those in impoverished areas.
As a graduating Senior from rural Colorado, I am trying to raise funds for expenses and to cover travel to and from the Philippines with the International Surgical Missions. I worked this summer, but have yet to reach my financial goal. I will be leaving on February 17, 2018 for this 2-week long mission venture. I am hoping to have all funds raised by December 25th.
The ones to benefit from your donations are the less fortunate people of the Philippines, especially those who cannot afford or don't have access to medical treatment.
Your support means to me that there are others out there who wish to help the less fortunate in the Philippines, even if they aren't able be there themselves.
The help I get from donors will help me to accomplish one of my life goals. My goal to put others before myself.
If I am unable to reach my financial goal, I will forward all donations to International Surgical Mission to help with necessary expenses.
