<div>We’re creating this GoFundMe during an incredibly difficult and unexpected time for our family.

<div>Irakli Kalandia is a 32-year-old Georgian man, a husband and father to a six-year-old daughter. He emigrated to the United States about a year ago, and he has been working hard to build a stable, peaceful life for his family. Irakli has a valid work permit and  his immigration paperwork is in order. He is a kind, calm, hardworking person who has done his best to do everything the right way.

<div>Despite this, Irakli was recently detained in the United States by ICE. Our family is shocked and heartbroken, and we are now trying to navigate a complex immigration legal process as quickly and responsibly as possible.

<div>Right now, Irakli urgently needs to fund experienced immigration legal representation so he has a fair chance to defend his case through the proper legal process. Unfortunately, immigration attorneys and court-related expenses are extremely costly, and the total is more than our family can afford on our own.

<div>That’s why we’re asking for help.
