Hill Family House Fire Relief Fund
Donation protected
My aunt and two uncles lost everything Wednesday evening (December 10, 2014) during a fast-moving house fire in Stotts City, MO.
Though the fire department came immediately, displaced from 324 Water St, Stotts City, MO 65756 are Linda and Randy Hill, and Jackie Priest, Linda's brother. They have 4 cats and 2 dogs, who also made it out safely. The Red Cross gave them accommodations for a few days only.
Linda and Randy are grandparents to 11 children and great grandparents to 5 babies, who worked hard their whole lives to pay off their home. They didn't carry insurance, so no new home is on the way. In the last few years, they have lost a son (Randy Hill Jr), a brother (Loy Priest), and a sister (Rubey Priest Robbins, my mom). With the tragedy that has struck this family recently, this couldn't have come at a worse time in their lives.
In addition to finding permanent living arrangements, the family has to purchase what they’ve lost and slowly rebuild their lives. It could take months or even years for them to recover financially. This is an especially trying time with Christmas around the corner.
If you can help this family, please do. The simplest way to help is to provide a monetary donation.
If you want to donate items to the family in Stotts City, please contact me.
Of the amount raised so far, $6,300 went directly to the purchase of the travel trailer they are living in temporarily.
*100% of donations (minus the fees taken by GoFundMe) will be given to the family directly. For every $100 contributed, $91.70 makes it to the family, after website fees.
