Cory's Surgery (abused Puppy)

I found this little guy playing on (or in) Staniford Road, a four lane busy road in Modesto, I got him out of traffic, I noticed he has a broken back leg.  After I got him to come to me, a man came out of an apartment, I asked if this was his dog, He said yes, and that the puppy had got out of his cage that was in the outside patio and he was being taken to the pound tonight... I said NO to that, This man was so happy get rid of this little angel he was actually Smiling and he said his name is Oreo, got in his car and drove off back to work from lunch.

We cant have another dog, but this little guy will not be put down at Christmas time!

We have renamed him Cory and he will remain with us. Cory has a severely broken femur that is healing in the wrong position. His surgery is $3500, this includes hospitalization, surgery and meds for recovery.

I know this is a lot of money for a puppy, but where as humans do we draw the line on what is truly important in this life?
