iPads for a Purpose

Donation protected
Mandated quarantines due to COVID have been an isolating experience for us all. Just as many of us are now unable to visit with our friends and families, hospital patients also face the added burden of being unable to have their loved ones at their side. In line with New York State Department of Health guidelines related to COVID-19, hospital have prohibited visitors, resulting in the heartbreaking separation of families throughout trying hospital stays. Video chatting through tablets serves as a lifeline, allowing family members to say their hello's to newborns in the NICU as well as final goodbyes to loved ones in the ICU. Yet for many hospitals, access to tablets is non-existent.

I am asking for your help to bring families together in hospitals across New York City. Specifically, I hope to supply hospitals in Brooklyn in which both the hospitals themselves and the patients they serve lack tablet access. My goal is to donate at least 10 tablets to 3 hospitals that care for the most underserved patient populations including Maimonedes Medical Center, King's County Hospital Center and University Hospital of Brooklyn. All donations will go towards the purchase of new iPads that will connect patients and their loved ones.

Alternatively, if you would like to donate a tablet directly, please fill out this form

Thank you for your support and for helping to connect families during COVID.
