"Technology will never replace great teachers, but technology in the hands of great teachers is transformational." George Couros
I teach a very talented group of kindergartners in a low income school where 100% of students qualify for free lunch. My students are very eager to learn new things, and are extremely excited about their first year in school. My class has 4 boys and 6 girls, even though we are a small class, they are very busy. This makes active learning and involved engagement even more important. We move, we dance, we sing, we act out, and we use the limited technology we have to keep us focused on learning and to keep learning fun.
If we had the opportunity to go 1:1 with iPads it would open us up to a whole new level of learning. It would allow me to communicate and work with students if I am out sick, it would allow my students the chance to research and collaborate with partners, and it would allow them the opportunity to publish their writing. The world we are apart of is driven by technology making it even more important for my little friends to learn it and use it from a young age. Please make our dreams come true, and help us reach our goal of being 1:1 with iPads.
