We believe a large part of the reason the racial wealth gap continues to exist is because many people of color do not have access to the resources they need to adequately protect and profit from their intellectual works.
At Howard University's Clinical Law Center, the most common reason for failure to file and register applications is our clients' inability to pay. We can only imagine that this problem will worsen as the USPTO moves to increase its registration fees.
