Send Sami to Iowa Writers Residency

Samira has been accepted to the prestigious young writers Summer Writing Residency at the Berlin-Blank Center of the University of Iowa. UI offers one of the most sought-after creative writing programs in the United States and this program gives her access to learning from the best creative writing professors in the nation. Additionally, she will earn college credits from the University of Iowa. Samira earned an invitation to apply for the summer residency after earning a silver medal last year in the National Scholastic Writing Competition for her flash-fiction prose, "True Colors."
