<div>Leaps and Bounds exceptional Services is excited to launch a new Autism Research Project, with the Leap Beyond Barriers Foundation and Dr A Greco MD (and his team of neuroscientists). Ethics approval through VeritasIRB.

<div><strong>Our Purpose</strong>
</div>
<div>We are raising funds for Autism Research in regards to Ion Cyclotron Resonance Therapy (ICR). This study will replicate and extend results from the previous two studies:
</div>

<div>It is imperative we complete an additional study with more participants N=50. To further individualize treatment, we want to include brain mapping. Brain mapping for autism treatment allows an in-depth look at individual brain activity to identify any areas that may be misfiring or dysregulated which are linked to Autism symptoms. It allows us to identify when and where each of these wave types occur in the brain. It is an important tool, as we can evaluate the brainwaves and identify opportunities to improve communications between various regions of the brain. Brain Mapping is a non -intrusive assessment.

<div>In 30 years, we have never reached out for funding/ donations or brought any alternative treatments to our clients (other than the approved empirical IBI/ABA treatment), until now. We have seen how ICR can transform the lives of children and their families. We believe in ICR treatment so much that Leaps &amp; Bounds self -funded the first study, but it is not financially feasible to fund future studies.

<div>The provincial Government has significantly cut funding to the Ontario Autism program, and we do not have any funding from the Federal government. Having a child with severe Autism can cost a family $70,000 to $100,000 per year for IBI/ABA treatment. The decision to cut funding to children is seriously impacting their quality of life, their family’s quality of life, the child’s ability to function to their potential and most importantly; to lead independent lives. The waitlist is so incredibly long, it is currently about 4 to 5 years long. The current trajectory is that if your child is put on the wait list at 2 years old, they do not see any core (ABA) funding until they are 6 or 7 years old. These children are being left behind. Families simply cannot afford treatment. Families can afford ICR therapy and does not require on going significant costs. One-time fee of $14,000 to purchase the technology and if required $1000 -$2000 to update treatment protocols.

<div><strong>What is ASD? </strong>

<div>ASD (autism spectrum disorder) is a complex neurological and developmental disorder that affects how individuals interact with others, communicate, learn, and behave. 1 in 36 children (CDC 2024) have Autism and the prevalence continues to increase year by year. <div>Individuals with ASD have more inflammation in their bodies than other individuals, especially in their brain and bowels.

<div>The purpose of the ICR programs/protocols for Autism are to reduce oxidative stress, balance inflammation, improve microcirculation and for neuro synapses to fire correctly. Further previous studies indicate the frequencies of individuals with Autism have stronger activation in higher frequencies in the frontal lobe, parietal and occipital regions. The frontal lobe is responsible for control over many abilities, including the way one thinks, how one moves and how one remembers things. Reasoning, executive functions, such as self-control and inhibitions, attention span and working memory. Learning and recalling information, the brains ability to process and learn new information for later use and to retrieve information. It also plays a key part in one’s social skills, and helps one understand and control how you talk, behave, and interact with others. These are the issues/symptoms that most individuals with Autism experience to varying degrees.

<div><strong>What is Ion Cyclotron Resonance Technology (ICR)? </strong>
</div>
<div>Our study utilizes an ICR device that uses Pulsed Magnetic Field Therapy (PEMF). This can be converted into 30 wave forms and over 2 million frequency combinations. Hence why we saw the encouraging results, as we are targeting inflammation and frequencies, in the first two studies.

I am always looking for new and exciting ways to try and help my son along his journey in every way I possibly can.

<div>He has been receiving thirty-six hours of ICR per week, he attends Leaps and Bounds treatment centre 5 days a week and has three separate ICR treatments while attending his six-hour day there. The results have been incredible. Not only is he able to perform daily activities (watching a movie, eating lunch, playing with a toy, etc) while the session is taking place, but he genuinely seems to really enjoy it. We have noticed quite significant improvements since he started ICR. He is much more focused in his day-to-day life, he is able to retain much more information than he has in the past, his overall anxiety is visually more decreased, and he is attempting to speak in full sentences. At the time of his diagnosis and for several years after, he was non-verbal. He is much more receptive towards people, and he very much wants to be a part of everyday activities, whereas before he had no interest.

We have seen incredible results with my son, and it is beyond heartwarming to see him so happy and engaged. I'm very excited to see what else he will accomplish with the ICR therapy."

<div>“My son, at 5.5 was struggling with basic language both receptive and expressively. He could not generalize anything he was learning. He has been doing ABA therapy since he was 2.5 years old and was making small gains. At 2.5 he was deemed not eligible for the government funded ABA program in the province of Ontario, due to the severity of his diagnosis. I started him on the ICR therapy in June 2019. In 8 weeks, He started to expand his repertoire of words he could understand and say. He was much more engaged. He was finally able to learn new skills and consistently retain them and more importantly generalize the skills he was learning. My friends and family were blown away by the difference in him. They called it “the miracle mat” or “the magic mat”.

<div>Here is one example in November 2019, my son woke up saw snow outside and said to me for the first time ever “it’s snowing”, he then said Christmas, I said your right when it snows it is almost Christmas. He then looked and saw the Christmas trees, I had put up and said Christmas trees, I said your right that is a Christmas tree. He paused and then said, Santa. I said you’re right when we put the trees up Santa is coming. There was no talk of Christmas or Santa since the year before, as Halloween had just passed. Everything, I was saying to him the winter/Christmas before he retained, he just could not connect it or verbalize it. I have so many examples.

<div>The ICR protocols were able to reduce the inflammation in the areas that were affecting his language acquisition, cognitive and motor skills allowing him to flourish. He continues to use the ICR protocols daily and he is thriving in all areas of his development. From a child who could not identify people by name, recognize letters or number to reading, writing, completing math problems all in a year. ICR therapy has changed the quality of his life and that of our family’s. After 4 months of being on the protocols, my son went from less than the 1st percentile on the standardized tests used to the 4th percentile. He also went up over 2 chronical age groups. Simply unimaginable results in 4 months.”
