<div><strong>De slogan van ’s Lands Hospitaal luidt: ‘Vanuit ervaring naar vernieuwing’</strong>.

<div>En die slogan is er niet zomaar: de kinderafdeling van het ziekenhuis is namelijk drastisch aan vernieuwing toe! De afdeling moet toekomstbestendig worden gemaakt. De huidige infrastructuur voldoet niet aan de hedendaagse vereisten voor veilige en family-centered care.

<div><strong>Goede kinderzorg vraagt om meer dan alleen bedden en muren. </strong>Moderne kindergeneeskunde vraagt om:

<li>Actieve ouderbetrokkenheid (family-centered care);

<li>Stabiliteit in personeel, opleiding en logistiek.

<div><strong>Wat zijn de beoogde resultaten van de inzamelingsactie?</strong>

<div>Het geld dat wordt ingezameld wordt gebruikt om de afdeling te transformeren tot een moderne, multidisciplinaire zorgomgeving waarin medische, psychosociale en educatieve aspecten worden geïntegreerd. Belangrijke doelstellingen hierbij zijn:

<li>Infrastructuur die voldoet aan de moderne standaarden in de kindergeneeskunde;

<li>Een snellere, integrale aanpak van complexe poliklinische casussen door multidisciplinair werken op één plek;

<li>Betere klinische kwaliteit door renovatie, family-centered care en de nieuwe Pediatrische High Care Unit;
</li>
<li>Meer motivatie en deskundigheid van het team door training en structuur;
</li>
<li>Een versterkte capaciteit om kwetsbare pasgeborenen te stabiliseren en te behandelen;
</li>
<li>Vermindering van de druk op andere ziekenhuizen door uitbreiding van de lokale high-care capaciteit;
</li>
<li>Snellere herkenning en behandeling van ernstig zieke kinderen.
