Invictus Games – Toronto 2017
The Invictus Games is an international Paralympic-style multi-sport event, created by Britain's Prince Harry, in which wounded, injured or sick armed services personnel and their associated veterans take part in various sports. It is named after Invictus, Latin for "unconquered" or "undefeated". The first Invictus Games took place in 2014 in London, United Kingdom. Canada will host the 3rd Invictus Games from September 23 to 30, 2017 in Toronto.

The Games use the power of sport to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding of respect for those who serve their country. More than 550 wounded servicemen and women from 17 allied nations including Afghanistan are expected to compete during the games. Competitors will participate in 12 adaptive sports, including archery, athletics, indoor rowing, power lifting, road cycling, sitting volleyball, swimming, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair tennis, wheelchair rugby, and golf.

As a means of respect for the sacrifices Afghan soldiers and security forces have continuously made, and as a way of giving back to AFGHANISTAN in the smallest possible way, WE URGE ALL AFGHANS around the globe to contribute in any amount to these brave warriors. The monies raised will be given to these young and dedicated athletes so they can purchase assistive medical devices.
