Investing in the future of Swimming

CVAC, Coastal Virginia Aquatic Club, started in August 2019 out of the Norfolk and Virginia Beach area with a goal of being the premier swim team in the area. Within a year, the team grew to over 120 athletes, along with a staff of 9 coaches to serve the very diverse needs of each of its swimmers. All our coaches are part time and work hard for a strong love of these swimmers and the sport of swimming.
With the restrictions from Covid, we were unable to use the facilities that we had been renting during the first season. Undaunted, CVAC invested in materials to transform the outdoor facility at Larkspur Swim and Racquet Club into our own indoor facility for our second year. The results were wonderful, as our swimmers had a truly successful second year both individually and collectively!!
While this investment has proven to be costly, with much of the contract work and materials needing to be special ordered and redone or repaired, the families and coaches at CVAC have a strong resolve to continue to build upon the strong foundation established.
As these costs are first year issues that I know will not be duplicated moving forward, CVAC remains focused on building for the future with our families, our swimmers, and our financial well-being. We are focused on continued growth, both in size and accomplishments, with our goal intact of becoming the premier USA Swimming Team in this region. Your donation will help us achieve that mission.
