500 Black Tuxedos 2017 Fundraising

What is it: A three day event which seeks to bring unity within the inner-city of Milwaukee as 250 men mentor, dine, and march with 250 young black boys.

“The purpose of the walk is to show our young brothers that they can dress up their lives before they mess up their lives.” –We Got This

How can you help: Emotional and/or Financial Support.

Do you have to be "male" or "black" to support: No. All are welcome to support. Emotional support is most important. If you have empathy, we'd love your emotional support!

How to provide Emotional Support:
1. Like/Share this post
2. Young black boys and men: Sign-up, and show up to the march on December 9, 2017.
3. All others of different gender/ethnicity: Come watch the parade in downtown Milwaukee! Pictures at the Milwaukee Art Museum at approximately 1:30pm. Then Parading down Wisconsin Avenue, past the new North Western Mutual building, and to the Hilton City Center. Pictures and parade to last roughly 1 hour, so don't miss out!

How to provide Financial Support
1. Sponsor a youth's Tuxedo fitting/rental (donation deadline is today: 2/2/17)
-175 (youth on standby) X $75 = $13,125 [2/9/17 edits: Closed. $1,500 raised and donated on 2/2/17 to sponsor 20 youth).

Sponsor the Photography* (open donation until pictures are distributed)
2. Individual Photography: 500 X $5 = $2,500
3. Three day Event Photography w/ two photographers: $2,000 X 3 = $6,000

Fundraising Goal: $21,625 [2/9/17 edits: Timeframe for additional tuxedo rental and hiring additional photographers has unfortunately passed. Cost reduced so fundraising reduced to $5,000]

*Sponsored Photography to help capture this precious moment, and share group and individual pictures to each youth (with a signed photo release waiver). A picture can say a thousand words, so let’s give them something to look back to and also to look forward to. Funds raised will help determine/cover the cost of professional photopgraphy, processing, and distribution (i.e, digital emailing/prints mailing, and/or CDs).

Every $75 donated sponsors a youth. Every $75 donated makes a difference. Every $75 helps promote empathy, empowerment, humbleness, and hard-work.

How: Because we will teach these youth that this wasn’t free. It may seem free, but someone else worked hard to earn and pay the price for them to be there, and to receive this gift to last a lifetime.

Why: Because that someone cares and empathizes with them, they matter to them, and they want them to succeed in life.

Are you that someone?

With Love,
