My name is Una Dimitrijević, and I’m a 20-year-old singer, songwriter, and performer from Serbia.
Two years ago, I made the hardest decision of my life — I left my home to chase a dream I refused to give up on: studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston, one of the most prestigious music schools in the world.
Music has been part of me since I was six years old. I began as a pianist, winning international competitions in Rome and Niš, and soon discovered my true voice — literally. I’ve since performed in over 18 European countries, representing Serbia at festivals from Belarus to Malta, earning Grand Prix and first-place awards at every step.
At Berklee, I’ve been recognized not just for my voice, but for my vision. My live performance “One and Only in the world” at Berklee’s CAF showcase was one of the most talked-about acts of the year — a cinematic, gold-hued experience that reflected who I am: bold, emotional, and unapologetically myself.
Recently, my debut single “Never Listen” caught the attention of BNN Radio, who placed it in regular rotation. The track, part of my upcoming concept EP “World That Never Listen,” blends late-night cinematic guitars with soul and modern R&B. It’s my story — learning to be heard in a world that often doesn’t listen.
But as I approach my second semester of my second year and my third year at Berklee, I face a challenge I can’t overcome alone. Even with the maximum scholarship Berklee offers international students ($23,000/year), I need to cover the remaining tuition costs to continue my studies and bring my projects to life. I was given a Thrive scholarship of 3200$. I face a challenge where my dad is retired and my mom is the one who provides for my school.
