Into the Sunset - Short Film

Hi, my name is Patricia Smith. I'm a film student at Belmont University. This fall I will be directing my Senior Film Project entitled "Into the Sunset" and I would love for you to be involved!

This film is a love story set in 1946 Middle Tennessee that follows Millie and EJ who are two strong individuals that find themselves falling in love despite the judgment and opposition of Millie's parents. We join their relationship just before it's begun. We meet Millie as she follows her dreams of being an actress and EJ, a World War 2 soldier returning home in hopes to work his way up the ladder to being a lawyer. They both have unrealistic dreams for their time but their love for each other inspires them.

And I hope that this story inspires you. Since this is a period piece, our budget is higher than most student films.

We would use most of the funds on Production Design - locations, wardrobe, hair & makeup and set decorations. Other funds would go towards feeding our crew and gas reimbursement since we most likely are filming in rural Tennessee.

This project is super important to me because I've always wanted to tell a love story, mostly because I've never been in one of my own and this is my way of experiencing it. I have a dedicated and passionate crew behind me and we would appreciate your kindness!
