Into The Ocean Society

Into The Ocean is a South Cowichan based non profit. Our mission is to provide access to the blue world and inspiration to explore and care for it. 

This fundraiser is to create opportunities for young people facing various barriers to experience the ocean from underneath the surface. For youth getting ready to age out of the foster system, youth living on income assistance and other barriers. I would like to share the peace, tranquility, healing and beauty of the ocean. By providing young people with the necessary gear and top instructors, they will be able to earn their open water diver certification. After certification we will continue to mentor students through scheduled dive meet ups. Into the ocean will encourage participants to become stewards of the ocean through programs such as ocean and beach cleanup days and ongoing education.

The gift of the ocean and the healing it brings me is immeasurable. Such a gift is meant to be shared as broadly as possible. The support and donations received will allow us all to create life changing moments for youth on the island.
