Interstellar Flight Press is an indie SFF press based in Houston, Texas. Our flight plan includes publishing books that further the imagination and wouldn’t get picked up by traditional publishers. From poetry to novellas to collaborative works, we want to feature innovative works from the best new writers in SFF.
We also run Interstellar Flight Magazine, a venue for awesome pop culture coverage, in-depth essays and interviews, and reviews and news about geeky books, films, and television. Our editorial mission is to lift up marginalized voices from femmes to QUILTBAG to writers of color.
Where Your Money Goes
Interstellar Flight Press is a volunteer-run organization led by author and editor Holly Lyn Walrath. Due to the impact of COVID-19, we’ve been forced to push back release dates on our 2020 titles. Making quality books costs money from promotion to printing, and by donating you’re helping to support not just our press, but the artists and authors that we pay for their creative work.
The super-fantastic folks at GoFundMe started the Small Business Relief Initiative to help small businesses that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. GoFundMe has partnered with Yelp and Intuit QuickBooks to match campaigns of $500. #SmallBusinessRelief
The main goal of this campaign is to raise enough funds to pay our 2020 cover artists and author advances so that we can focus future funding efforts on marketing. Having an additional $1,000 would mean not having to push these projects into next year.
