Internship Physiotherapy in Jerusalem

My name is Gabriel Fingeret and I'm a Master's student in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy at the University of Antwerp, in Belgium.

The Bachelor of Science degree was built in such a way that the first year we learn about the "healthy person". What the body is made of, how it moves, etc.
In our second year we learn all aspects of the pathological (or abrmal) body.
In our third year we learn not only how to prevent those pathologies but also how to rehabilitate the person coming into our clinic so that they can go back home happy and healthy.

I have completed my BSc. degree and I am now a first year Master's student. In our first year the University gives us an INCREDIBLE opportunity to travel and experience an internship abroad for 4 months! I received a list of countries out of which I could choose. There were some beautiful destinations, but none of them felt close to my heart. There is only 1 place in the whole world that I knew I was going to have the most amazing experience: Israel!
Since Israel wasn't on the list I had to start building relations between the University and the place I would intern at from scratch. I had many clinics to choose from in Israel, but I was able to narrow my search down to one city in particular: Jerusalem. And once I knew I wanted to be in Jerusalem I was able to narrow down my search to just 1 facility: Hadassah Medical Center. I contacted the head of the physiotherapy department and told her my story. Without a doubt she said yes, and my internship was official!

Going to Jerusalem for 4 months won't be a cheap adventure. In fact, after making a calculation including flights, food, local transportation and a place to sleep it comes down to this: I will need a minimum of €6000 to make this opportunity of a lifetime happen.

There are around 7.7 billion people in the world. If this page only reaches 6000 people, and they all donate €1, I will have reached my goal! So please share this with your family and friends.

1 beer in Belgium: costs around €3,  drink and forget.
My internship abroad: donate €1, I receive 4 months of field training, and I will remember it forever.

Your donation will make it happen, big or small :)

Thank you!
