Olá , eu sou a Sara e sou voluntária da Operation Smile. Para quem não sabe, a Operation Smile é uma organização sem fins lucrativos cujo objetivo é garantir que toda a gente tem acesso a cirurgias seguras. Focando-se principalmente em crianças de países em desenvolvimento com lábio leporino ou fenda palatina.
Existem clubes de estudantes desta organização por todo o mundo. Eu tenho o orgulho de poder dizer que sou a presidente do primeiro e único grupo no meu país, Portugal. Durante este ano letivo eu e os meus colegas trabalhamos arduamente para esta causa. Não só organizámos eventos de angariação de fundos como também fizemos ações de sensibilização.
Foi-me oferecida uma bolsa para estar presente na conferência internacional de estudantes da Operation Smile, também conhecida como International Students Leadership Conference (ISLC). Isto é uma oportunidade imperdível. Vou poder conhecer outros estudantes do secundário de inúmeras nacionalidades diferentes. Para além disso, vou poder melhorar as minhas capacidades de liderança e aprender mais sobre a Operation Smile.
Esta conferência vai ser na Carolina do Norte, Estados Unidos, durante estas férias de Verão. Por favor ajudem a financiar o meu voo de avião até à conferência.

Hi! I'm Sara and I'm a volunteer for Operation Smile. For those of you who are not familiar with this nonprofit organization wotk, Operation Smile's goal is to give to everyone a chance to have a safe surgery. They focus mostly on children from underdeveloped countries who have a cleft condition.
There are Operation Smile Students's clubs all over the world. I'm proud to say that I'm the president of the first and only club in my country, Portugal. I've put my blood, sweat and tears working for this cause throughout this school year. Not only organazing fundraising events but also calling my fellow school students' attention to solidarity causes.
It has been offered me a scolarship to attend Operation Smile Students International Conference ,also know as, International Students Leadership Conference (ISLC). This is a once in a lifetime oppurtunity. I will get to meet High School students for an enormous amount of different nationalities. Furthermore it's an amazing chance to improve my leadership skills and learn more about Operation Smile.
This conference will be in North Carolina, United States of america, this summer. Please help me afford my plane tickets. I'll be eternaly grateful.
