Each year, the national chapter of American Marketing Association hosts the International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans, LA. This year, the conference will be held March 12-14, 2020.
This conference has over 1,500 AMA students in attendance each year and is the best opportunity for marketing students to develop their professional network. At the conference, we compete in a variety of competitions (sales, marketing strategy, elevator pitch, business simulation, etc.) where our students have the opportunity for national recognition and scholarship. Other activities include a professional career fair with companies such as Coca-Cola and the Wall Street Journal in attendance, panels with professional marketers and entrepreneurs, keynote speakers, a case study, and networking with college students from all around the world. This conference is an an unparalleled opportunity for both personal and professional development for college marketing students.
As anticipated, this conference is expensive for students to attend; however, the benefits are extraordinary. Last year, we sent 7 of our members to the conference, with the majority of the money coming out of pocket. We hope to send at least 10 members this year to positively reflect the work our chapter is doing and give them the exposure to professionals in the industry.
Any funds we receive will go toward conference registration, airfare, hotel, and additional costs related to the conference. All funds will be split evenly among members in attendance.
Thank you for your support! This experience is so important for our members, and we are so grateful to have a community that supports our goals of personal and professional development.
