Intensive Outpatient Program

I have been battling with extreme anxiety and depression for atleast the last 14 years of my life, managing decently with medications.  Over the past 2 years I have progressed to become an alcoholic, and this in turn has expounded my emotional difficulties.  Knowing this I still have not been able to stop on my own.  On the night of Monday Aug 7th, I tried to take my life.  Luckily I wasn't succussful.  I was taken to a hospital and was admitted and evaluated and sent home on the following Saturday with the promise I would go to a dual diagnoses treatment facilty.  I do not have health insurance.  One of the facilities I've been connected to is Choices for Recovery.  Its $3500 a month and if i'm able to do up to 2 to 3 months the owner "Hollis" said he would try and work something out with me, which I should hopefully be hearing back from soon.  This cost on top of whatever my hospital bill will be from last week is absolutely undoable for my family, which is part of the reason I waited so long to get actual help.  I hate sharing my private business like this, and I even hate asking for money more, but I truly am in a desperate situation.   Whatever you can do to help will be so so so appreciated, and I promise once I am better to pay it forward.  Mental illness is an invisable disease, but as my sister told me, "If your arm were broken, wouldn't you get that treated?  What makes your mind any different?"
I really would like to get better, and heal my mind.  Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
