Insulin pump to pump my life

I have never done this before and I still feel slightly embarrassed, but here I go! My name is Dania Gaines as most of yall know... I am 27 years old, I am a hairstylist, and lover of dogs! I became diganosted with Type 1 Diabetes the night of my 11th birthday on December 31, 2000. That night changed my life in a way I could never really describe. It was very hard to get used to taking shots, blood sugar, counting carbs, etc for a 5th grader, but I will say as I have gotten older I'm pretty decent at taking care of myself and dont really think about taking shots or anything, I'd say its almost second nature.  The problem I seem to be having now is with my scar tissue, job, and over all levels. First, since I have been diagnosted I have been doing insulin shots. I take around  5 or more shots a day with no snacks. (Of course I snack so I normally take more than 5) That being said it's been fine, but my body has been building up scar tissue with the repeat needles entering my skin even with my rotation. Second, To make a good income at my job I have to be pretty busy in which makes me taking my lunch/break it's got to be QUICK! (shoveling food and trying to take a shot swiftly) Third, from what my doctors tell me, having a insulin pump helps level your numbers out and make it so much better to be healthier with Type 1 Diabetes. So what I am trying to do is inquire an Insulin Pump to help my diabetes and help me with everyday life. I won't have to take a shot everyday, I will just occasionally have to move my site where the pump is connected to my body. I will have to still calculate carbs, but I will just have to push the amount in the device and it will do the rest. Also, like I said before my doctors will finally be happy with me and hopefully my numbers, A1C, and over all health will be better! If you are able help I greatly appreciate it and it means more than you will ever know!
