Instagram Censoring Self Harm Scars
We are looking to raise money in order to create a video about the current problem with Instagram and their new policy of censoring our bodies. We want to destigmatise the people who suffer from self harm and make a clear message to those that are struggling that firstly, your body should not define who you are and secondly, that there is life after self harm.
We will achieve that by producing content on social media and resources that can approach the issue of self harm in a sensitive manner. We also want to build momentum to address the way social media firms and the Government have approached self-harm thus far.
* WHY DONATE? *
We are currently looking to produce a campaign alongside #ItMatters
which is led by young people looking to make a change in the way mental illness is misrepresented in the media. Last May, they released a suicide awareness film that saved lives and now we want to tackle self-harm. This is our generation’s fightback against the mental health crisis affecting us and by donating, people will be part of that change.
DYLAN KANG is also doing a skydive to help raise money - by donating you will be sponsoring him jumping from 15,000 ft!
ALL the money will go towards the campaign.
Thankyou!
