"Innocence" is a short film about a girl in her late teens and her experience being sexually assaulted at a college party. A child named Paige tries to save her from committing suicide.
Written by actress Miranda Jean Larson, "Innocence" puts the conversation of how to heal after traumatic and life changing experiences into the voice of a child.
"Innocence" recently won Best Short Film at the International Filmmaker Festival of New York and Best Indie Film (March 2018) with Top Shorts Film Festival. As we are mostly self-funded, we are raising money to help us reimburse ourselves for past expenses and to submit for as many festivals around the world as we can.
Our film helps to raise awareness of sexual assault, but we also want to raise awareness of happiness and how to heal.
Thank you to anyone who donated to our film for our Go Fund Me and in past fundraising campaigns! We appreciate any support for female writers and filmmakers!
"Innocence" is co-produced and co-directed by Miranda Jean Larson and by Mike Cicchetti of Cicchetti Multi-Media, Inc.
The film stars Miss Larson as the Teen, Mikayla Desroches as Paige, and Chris Kraus as the Young Man.
