In Memory Of Robert Smith

Husband, father, brother, granddad, son, mentor, leader, friend, confidante, and so many other words could be used to describe the place Robert Smith had in our lives. He was not only an amazing role model and friend to those who knew him, but he was always looking to help those in need. He had a faith of God’s all surpassing power and goodness that stood firm even in his last days. Per his request his legacy will be carried out not only through his family but also through a donation for ALS research. After spending a significant amount of time listening to the family relay their needs and his wishes, we have received permission to collect funds in lieu of flowers, funeral expenses, and meals to help Tammy and the boys as they transition into the new normal without their spiritual leader present. Due to the large expenses and needs when Robert was ill they had to chose to use the funds he had set aside for the family, leaving close to nothing left for this season. All that being said...now it’s our turn to show the Smith family the love and honor that Robert poured out selflessly and so grateful deserves in return. Instead of flowers, meals, or other traditional means of comfort please consider donating even a small portion to help Tammy and the boys rebuild a new normal, gifting them with the resources to have some time away if needed, and meet the needs that come with everyday life. Thank you all for being hands and feet to this wonderful family and please continue to pray for them as they adjust.
