In memory of Esther Alexis
This fund is created in tribute to the deeply loving and inspiring spirit of Esther Alexis.
Many of us knew Esther as an educator and a person committed to achieving equity in our world. She was a woman of community, of learning, and of teaching. Each day, she gave of herself so that others could thrive.
Just weeks ago, Esther and her husband Chris left New Orleans and relocated to Thailand. As expected, Esther quickly embraced the culture and community around her. On September 27th, Esther was in a fatal motorcycle accident while traveling through Vietnam. We are all left heartbroken by this loss.
These funds will help Esther's family cover expenses during this difficult time. All remaining funds will be used for a memorial and a scholarship in Esther's honor.
