My first mission trip to Kenya

I trust in the Lord with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding. In all my ways I acknowledge Him and He directs my paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6) As many of you know, at the beginning of February I will be going on my first mission trip to Kenya. I will be gone for ten days with Bellvue Baptist out of Memphis, TN. The Lord starting laying Kenya and this trip on my heart about a year ago. I have always had a yearning to go and do something but never knew where or what. This has been the first time that The Lord has clearly layed a trip infront of me. I am beyond excited to go and meet the people of Kenya, but most of all to be the hands and feet of The Lord. Allowing Him to fully use me in any way He has planned. During our time in Kenya, we will visit multiple orphanages and schools. We will be apart of various womens/business conferences that will allow us to really share our faith and testimonies. We will hopefully start to really address the severe malnutrition that most of the kids suffer from. As hard as it has been thinking if being away from my precious family I am excited to see how The Lord is going to use this trip to completely rock my world and make me a better servant. Unfortunately these trips are not cheap. I want to thank in advance anyone that feels led to sponsor/donate to get me to the rest of my monetary goal. Rachel Smith
