Injured truck driver unable to work

I fell off the top of a car carrier (tractor/trailer) August 24, 2018, 9 feet to the pavement. Broke my back, pelvis, separated my pelvis joint, and bruised my ribs. I couldn't walk or put any weight on my legs for 2 months. Didn't have any workers comp insurance or disability coverage, I am without any income until I am able to get back to work. My part of the medical bills are several thousand dollars after insurance. My surgeon released me Friday March 1st to return to work when I'm able to get in and out of a truck, but told me no more car hauling.
