Injured Officer in Need

Correctional officers at Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility were attacked by several inmates on Sunday, August 16, 2020.  Officer Roland Milan along with a few other officers  were  monitoring recreational yard when a group of inmates attacked them.  Inmates managed to overpower Officer Milan, taking and beating him with his institutional issued baton. Officer Milan was stabbed multiple times and sustained several injuries to include broken bones to his facial area requiring surgery and further medical treatment.  His wife and family are facing an unimaginable pain due to this senseless act of violence. We are asking for donations to assist the family during this extremely difficult times as we anticipate he will be off of work for a very long time.  All donations will go towards expenses needed for the family.   We offer our sincerest appreciation for all and any donations.
