The amount of international travel required for this ceremony and the accompanying CO₂ that it will produce is something we cannot ignore. Though there are larger projects on our registry, as we are requesting your participation in travelling, we know there is a direct impact to this adventure. We estimate 128 metric tonnes of CO₂ will be created due to the corresponding international travel.
To offset this, we are raising money for Eden Reforestation Projects. Their projects hire people to plant trees in countries with comparatively low Purchasing Power Parity, allowing for substantial impacts on environmental, agricultural and social factors.
