<div>We started this campaign to raise funds to repair and upgrade the beloved public playground at the Inishbofin Community Centre. Unfortunately, in Spring 2024, an inspection revealed significant defects in all of the playground equipment, and the playground has been closed ever since. The playground also needs an upgrade on the ground works and new fencing, and the old rubber tiles are no longer suitable. Given that the equipment has endured nearly 20 years of harsh island conditions, it has reached the end of its lifecycle.

<div>For the children of Inishbofin, for the families and children staying on the island regularly, and for the many visitors, the playground is more than just a play area; it is a vital space where they can play, learn, and grow in a safe and joyful environment. We are determined to restore this essential community resource, but we need your help.

<div>Your generosity will make a tangible impact. The funds raised will be used to:

<div>Our goal is to raise €10,000. Inishbofin Development Company that owns and manages the playground have also applied for a grant of €50,000, but the preliminary estimation is that the full repair &amp; upgrade will cost approximately €70,000, if not more. Sponsors and additional grant funding are being approached to cover the total costs. Every donation, big or small, brings us one step closer to giving the children of Inishbofin and the many visitors the safe and vibrant playground they deserve.
